Hi @Vishalkaveri,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Victus Gaming Laptop 16-inch powers on (you hear fans or lights come on), but the screen stays black. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Step-by-Step Fix for Black Screen on Boot
1. Perform a Hard Reset
This clears any temporary hardware issues:
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try turning it on again.
2. Try an External Monitor
To check if the issue is with the display:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV via HDMI.
- Power on the laptop and press Windows + P a few times to toggle display modes.
- If the external display works, the issue may be with the laptop screen or display cable.
3. BIOS Recovery
HP laptops support BIOS recovery even with a black screen:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release the power button but keep holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
- If successful, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.
4. Check for Beep Codes or LED Blink Patterns
- If the laptop is beeping or blinking (e.g., caps lock or power LED), count the beeps or blinks.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
