Hi @Late2waken,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If Internet Explorer is not working after a clean install on your HP Mini 1000, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Make sure your internet connection is active and working properly. Connect to a Wi-Fi network or ensure that your Ethernet cable is properly connected.

Run Network Troubleshooter:

  • Windows has a built-in network troubleshooter that can help identify and fix common connectivity issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then run the "Internet Connections" troubleshooter.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Ensure that your network drivers are up-to-date. You can check for driver updates through the Device Manager. Right-click on the Start button, select "Device Manager," locate the network adapters, right-click on your network adapter, and choose "Update driver."

Check Proxy Settings:

  • Incorrect proxy settings can prevent Internet Explorer from connecting to the internet. Go to Internet Explorer settings (gear icon in the top-right corner) > Internet options > Connections tab > LAN settings. Make sure that "Automatically detect settings" is selected, and other options are unchecked.

Reset Internet Explorer Settings:

  • In Internet Explorer, go to Settings (gear icon) > Internet options > Advanced tab. Click on the "Reset" button and follow the prompts to reset Internet Explorer settings.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Reinstall Internet Explorer:

  • If the issue persists, you may consider reinstalling Internet Explorer. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Optional Features. Locate Internet Explorer 11, click on it, and select "Uninstall." Afterward, you can reinstall it from the same location.

Consider Using a Different Browser:

  • If Internet Explorer continues to pose issues, you might consider using an alternative browser like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a more specific problem with your system or configuration.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
