I forgot my admin passwords for my HP 630. How do I get a system reset code?

I Reset the administrator password on my HP 630 And now I can’t remember it. Do I need some kind of reset code to get around it? If so, how/where would I get a reset code? Help! Thank you.

When asked for the password just hit enter 3 times.

I restarted and press enter three times, but it just says that password is incorrect. Also, I have received no code. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is this a Power-on password or a Windows login password???

There is a POWER-ON PASSWORD. "After pushing power button a box will appear asking for password???

There is a WINDOWS LOGIN PASSWORD.  "After pushing power button  2 boxs will appear USERNAME and PASSWORD???

There is one other when someone gets scammed???

Then you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

Just to note:

Do not try removing the RTC/BIOS battery.  It will not remove the password, but it will reset the clock - as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC will cause it to fail.
