PAVILLION NOTEBOOK
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get message that states "VCruntime140.dll is missing.  And within 5-10 minutes my screen goes light grey, I can hear it running, the only way to get the machine to display the OS is to turn it 'OFF"  when I do this the button will start blinking after a couple seconds and I canturn back on, log back in and hoefully that is the only time it happens.  It has taken as many as 3 times on rare occasions.  any help would be great.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

Not to be too much of a skeptic, but I have one laptop that is now a paper weight from a dumb case of TMI.  I respect the fact that you don't want seriel, and hope this doesn't bite

N9E13UA#ABA,

64 BIT WINDOWS 10586.1176

Hope this helps I have noticed the Pavillion reffered to as "PAVILLION 360"  mine is only Pavillion.  I know more than you asked for but hope it helps

The information you provided is fine.

For the "VCruntime140.dll is missing" error, install this updated version of the 3D driveguard software, restart the PC and see if that resolves the problem.

6.0.45.1    Jan 8, 2018

For the other issue...probably not related to the "VCruntime140.dll is missing" error, if the screen goes gray again after updating the 3D driveguard driver, but the "VCruntime140.dll is missing" error goes away, see if updating the AMD chipset drivers to their latest versions resolve the problem.

Chipset...select the W10 x64 file, install and restart the PC.

Graphics:  Select the W10 x64 driver (1st one on the list), install and restart the PC.

You were close.  The Y is next to the T.
