I have a laptop (compaq 6910p) which I am trying to reload windows on....but i CANT GET INTO THE BIOS TO CHANGE THE BOOT SEQUENCE!
I have tried removing the cmos battery and main battery (for 10 days!) but still no joy.
please help

You shouldn't need to change the boot order.
Turn on the notebook and tap the F9 key to get the boot options menu and select either the DVD drive (may be called multibay) or USB flash drive as applicable and press the Enter key.
The PC should boot from the device you selected.
