HP Pavilion x360 - 15-bk153nr DaaS
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have not used my HP Pavilion x360 - 15-bk153nr DaaS in the last six months. Now it won't boot up. The light next to where you plug in the charger is on in white, and the Power Button is lit up white as well. As if it was booting up. But It won't. What can you recommend

Hi @Bearlvrvbch,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I’m sorry to hear that your HP Pavilion x360 is not booting up after being unused for some time. Let’s work through this together and try to get it up and running.

  • When you press the power button, do you hear any fan noises or see any activity on the screen, such as flickering or dim lights?
  • Have you tried holding down the power button to force it to shut off and restart? If so, did that change anything?
  • Can you recall if the laptop was fully charged the last time you used it, or if there were any issues with the battery before?

Let's try these steps.

Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the charger and remove any connected peripherals (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to perform a hard reset.
  • Release the button, plug the charger back in, and try turning the laptop on again.

Check the Display:

  • Sometimes the screen might remain black even if the laptop is on. Try connecting an external monitor via HDMI to check if the laptop’s display is the issue.
  • If the external monitor works, you may have a display issue with the laptop.

Battery Reset:

  • Unplug the charger and remove the battery if it’s removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery, plug in the charger, and try booting up again.

AC Adapter and Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the charger is properly working by checking if the charging light (white) stays solid. If possible, try a different charger compatible with your laptop.
  • If the charging light blinks or changes colors, it could indicate a power supply issue.

BIOS Recovery:

  • Hold down the "Windows" key + "B" at the same time, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds, and release it while continuing to hold the Windows + B keys.
  • If the BIOS screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions to update or reset the BIOS.

Let me know how it goes or if any step needs clarification!

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Thank you for the assistance, but I could not get a sound of a whirling disk or any sign of light on the screen.
