Use your recovery disk and reboot your pc with that then do a reinstall of windows.

You can purchase one from hp just google HP recovery disk and the name of your device.

Hi, Have you tried running through the diagnostics from the f2 menu at boot - the reason I'm suggesting this is given the error and the spontaneous appearance of a power on password, you may have a problem with the storage chip. Regards, DP-K
