HP Notebook 15-dy1071wm
Microsoft Windows 11

I just bought an HP Notebook 15-dy1071wm. The screen goes blank after waking from sleep mode.

I updated all the drivers and Windows system files with the update utility. Now the screen goes blank at random intervals. 

It is still under warranty, should I send it back to HP?

If you bought the device from an online store, contact the store and claim the error to return the device.

 

If you purchased the device directly from HP go to
https://support.hp.com/

 

In both cases, you will need to submit proof of purchase (invoice).

 

Please report your results.

Two days ago I talked to a live support tech. Although his English was bad I was able to get the phone number for returning HP products. Yesterday I called that number and talked to another broken English gentleman who gave me an RNA #. An hour later the laptop was in the FedEx office being shipped.

Waiting for my new replacement laptop now.

I sure hope that the problem was not incompatibility between HP AMD processor and Windows 11.
