The product specs for your PC indicate that it has an Akali motherboard with a BIOS family SSID of 89B4.
The PC is only supported by HP for W11, so the only BIOS update was written to be run on W11:
F.24

Thanks Paul. I never saw this PC operational and I just guessed that it was a Win 10 machine. Upon startup it says it can’t find a bootable disk. I tried to get into BIOS to see if the drive was detected there. It asks for a password. I tried password and blank with no luck. I have never actually seen a BIOS password implemented. I swapped a SATA SSD for the M2 and got the same thing. Removed the CMOS battery for 2 hours. No change.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, we can't help with removing BIOS passwords according to the forum rules of participation.
On a lot of desktop PC's there is a clear password jumper, but there are no instructions online for how to remove a BIOS P/W for that model series.
