Hi, I was playing a steam game, and I was going to activate the Omen gaming hub to turn up the fans, but I accidentally pressed the keys to lock the laptop (I believe it was the windows key and alt key, or possibly the L key) but it started to lock the PC. I let it finish without hard booting the laptop, but it turned off and wont turn back on. I already tried power cycling the laptop for multiple minutes with the different combinations of battery and charger configuration, I tried reseating the ram and SSD, but still no changes to the seemingly dead laptop. I looked online to see about the CMOS battery but there doesn't seem to be one, nor a jumper port that I can see. Please help.

Hi @four1670 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with the HP Omen 15 Dh1054nr. Let's go through a few more troubleshooting steps to see if we can get your laptop working again.
1. Basic Troubleshooting Steps:
Power Reset:
- Disconnect all external devices, including the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter (but not the battery if it's removable) and try turning on the laptop.
Check Power Indicators:
- Plug in the charger and see if any LED lights turn on. Check for any signs of power, such as LED lights blinking or staying lit.
2. Advanced Troubleshooting Steps:
External Display Test:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor using HDMI or DisplayPort to see if it's a display issue. If the external monitor works, the problem might be with your laptop's screen.
Hard Reset/BIOS Reset:
- Some laptops have a small pinhole on the bottom or sides that you can press with a paperclip to reset the BIOS. Check your user manual to see if this option exists.
- Try removing the battery (if it's removable) and the power adapter. Hold the power button for about 30 seconds, then reconnect everything and try turning on the laptop again.
3. Inspect Internal Components:
Reseat Internal Components:
- If you're comfortable opening your laptop, try reseating the RAM and SSD again. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause power issues.
Inspect for Damage:
- Check for any signs of physical damage or burnt components. Look for any loose cables or connectors.
4. Specific Key Combinations:
BIOS Recovery Key Combination:
- Some HP laptops have a BIOS recovery feature that can be accessed with specific key combinations. Try pressing the Windows key + B while powering on the laptop. Keep holding the keys for about 2-3 minutes to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.
