Welcome to the HP Community Support Forum.

If this appears every time you turn on your HP 255 G7, it usually means your BIOS is configured to show it by default or there’s a hardware/BIOS flag set after an event like a reset or hardware change. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off your laptop completely.

  2. Unplug the power adapter.

  3. Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds — this helps drain the static electricity from the motherboard and allows the internal components to fully reset.

  4. Reconnect the charger, but do not press any keys just yet.

  5. Wait for a few seconds, then press the power button once to turn it back on and let it breathe back to life.

Perform a BIOS Update

If the issue continues, updating the BIOS can help refresh the system’s internal communication:

  1. Visit the HP Support website

  2. Enter your product model – HP 255 G7 Notebook PC.

  3. Go to the Drivers & Downloads section and look for the latest BIOS version.

  4. Download and install it carefully by following the on-screen instructions.

Please try these steps and let me know how the system behaves after the restart.  I’ll be here to guide you further if needed.
