Installed BIOS update when prompted to do so by laptop. After install, restart was required and conducted. After restart, BIOS System update began. Update did not proceed past 3% when it locked up. It has been locked for an hour now. I tried holding the power button down for three seconds, 45 seconds - no luck. I tried the esc button - no luck. I tried ctrl-alt-delete - no luck. I have no batter access so cannot remove the battery to force shutdown. I have no idea what to do at this point. The screen has not changes, I can hear fans running. Nothing else. Please help.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not booting to Windows after doing a BIOS update.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and do a BIOS recovery and check if it helps.
