HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p125ng.
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys,

When I first upgraded to Windows 10 I always had problems with sleepmode: Once I clapped down my notebook it did not wake up. I had to push the start button for a couple of seconds and completely reboot.

This solution finally worked for me and many others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEkjmQr3S7M&list=LLwavu5x-NW9Hz9e2Fv7SR1w&index=103

I downgraded the Intel Management Interface from 11.xx back to 9.5.24 by using "roll back driver" function.

Now I reformated my notebook and experience the same struggles again. Unfortunately this time I cannot downgrade as I did not install the previous version. on my fresh Win10.

Intel still hosts desired version 9.5.24 on their website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel+management+engine

Now the question is, they seperate between
Intel® Management Engine Driver (1.5M) for Intel® NUC

and

Intel® Management Engine Driver (5M) for Intel® NUC Kit DC53427HYE

Which one is the correct one for my device?
Device name is HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p125ng.

Thanks in advance!

You're very welcome.

Sorry the updated version didn't work for you.

If you read the discussion, I gave the location of the W8.1 HP version of  you wanted... 9.5.24.1790

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI)Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. TheIntel Management Engine Interface enables communication between thehost operating system and the Intel Management Engine firmware.

Hi:

You may want to read this discussion...and see if the newer IMEI driver works.

Hello Paul thank your for your response!

Since I use 11.0.0.1146 and your driver is even newer that this one I will  try it.
Should I first uninstall the current driver before running the exe?

You're very welcome.

You shouldn't have to but if you want to, that would be fine as well.

Unfortunately the new driver did not solve the problem:
Notebook woke up immediately but Win10 did not recognice my keyboard! I am glad things worked properly after hard start

Because the newest driver did not work either I want to go back to 9.5.24.

So the question still is whether version 1.5 or 5 is the correct one.

@Paul thank you anyway! Do you know who I might ask this specific question?

I got that error message during installation but it was successfully installed anyway.

Thank you so much Paul! My problem is solved

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

If W10 tries to update the driver again, use the hide windows updates tool to prevent it from installing.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3073930/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-driver-update-from-rei...

The hide isn't temporary.  The offending update will be permanently hidden unless you run the utility again and unhide the update.
