Im trying to install Ubuntu but it stops me at install because of Intel RTS being enabled. I did a fresh install of windows after backing up with intent of dual-booting Ubuntu. Even after new Win10... iRTS still existed. So I hunted all the info I could on the subject... basically finding out I need to ...
1) Disable it in Windows via the Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology application built into Windows... did it.
2) F10 into my Bios and Disable it there too... did that t00.
But Device Manager still shows under "Storage Controllers" that "Intel(R) Chipset SATA/PCie RTS Premium Controller" is still there. Also in Device Manager I see two disk drives...
a) HGST HTS541010B7E610 (1TB-SATA)
b) NVMe Intel MEMPEK1J01 (16GB-SSD)
But after Trying all the above... Ubuntu still detects that Intel RTS Raid Setup and wont install... even though I have it all disabled in the Windows Application and in the most recent Bios for my Board with I think is V.33 - What am I missing?
One more thing... Does this confirm that I have RTS Disabled when I can see the 16GB-SSD in the "This PC" Section of Explorer and Can Format it? I'm guessing that means if cant be in any way setup as RAID - Agree/Disagree?
