Read this article, but not sure it applies to my Envy 17 Model LM125AV, System Board 159B 91.37, Bios F.1C. Do not see the following option in driver updates for my model / serial. Appears to add UEFI extension to the existing BIOS for select models. Do see HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Support Environment which patches an existing GPT partition which is hopeful. Please advise.
Already cloned the disk to another, converted MBR to GPT but will not boot because I expect the BIOS needs the UEFI option which is not currently an option.

I cloned the disk via Acronis, converted the GPT via EaseUS, since the BIOS does not have the UEFI extension it would not boot. Reinstalled the original MBR disk. The UEFI utility on the web site for my laptop requires a bootable GPT drive in order to install the EUFI BIOS update for my laptop which in itself is absurd since it is the cart before the horse. I'll try support again, but they have not been good at resolving higher technical issues in the past and there is no longer a support number to call.
