I want to download the game fifa 23 from steam where i had seen that it a must to open secure boot . so i want to know is it risky to do so ? or it's alright . please mention the cons of it . it's my new laptop so i dont want to take risk :)) Thanks!!

Hi:
If your notebook came with Windows installed from HP, you should be able to turn on Secure Boot and have no problems afterward.
If you installed Windows yourself and did not install it in UEFI mode, then you can't enable secure boot unless you reinstall Windows in UEFI mode.
When Windows is installed in Legacy mode, it uses different boot files so the hard drive will not boot up in UEFI mode.
If secure boot is grayed out, and Windows is installed in UEFI mode, follow these steps to enable secure boot.
Step 1. Go into the BIOS and Load HP Factory Default Keys and see if Secure Boot becomes available.
Step 2. If it does not than go into the operating system and disable “Fast Boot” (Steps below).

Step 3. go back into your BIOS and try Load HP Factory Default Keys.
Step 4. enable Secure Boot at this point.
