Hi @shilkoushik

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you see the Startmenu when you turned the laptop on. The Startup Menu after powering on, it means the system isn’t booting into Windows and is stuck at the firmware/BIOS stage. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Run Hardware Diagnostics

  • Press F2 in the Startup Menu to run HP UEFI diagnostics.
  • This will check if your hard drive or memory has failed.

Check Boot Order

  • Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  • Ensure your hard drive/SSD is listed first in the boot order.
  • If it’s missing, the drive may be disconnected or faulty.

Perform System Recovery

  • Press F11 for System Recovery.
  • This can restore Windows if the boot files are corrupted.
  • Note: This may reset your system, so back up data if possible.

Power Reset

  • Shut down the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Hold the power button for 60 seconds, reconnect, and try again

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
