@Ralph145, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Pavilion x360 (or any HP 360 series laptop) is not turning on despite being charged, try these troubleshooting steps:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the charger and remove any external peripherals (USB drives, external keyboard/mouse, etc.).
- If the laptop has a removable battery, take it out.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reinsert the battery (if applicable) and plug in the charger.
- Try turning it on.
Check the Power Indicator
- If the power light is blinking, note the pattern (e.g., blinking caps lock) – it could indicate a hardware failure.
- If there is no power light, try a different charger or power outlet.
Test with a Different Charger
- If possible, use another compatible HP charger to rule out a faulty adapter.
Inspect the Display
- Sometimes, the laptop might be on, but the screen remains black.
- Try pressing Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B to refresh the display.
- Connect an external monitor to check if it’s a display issue.
Reset the Battery (for Non-Removable Batteries)
- Some HP models have a battery reset pinhole at the bottom.
- Use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds.
- Try turning it on again.
Check for Overheating
- If the laptop was running hot before shutting down, let it cool down for a while before turning it on.
Boot into BIOS
- Turn off the laptop and press Esc or F2 repeatedly while turning it on.
- If BIOS loads, it might be a Windows or software issue.
Attempt a Recovery Boot
- Press Power + F11 repeatedly during startup to access HP Recovery Mode.
Let me know if this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
