Hi @Ashish0019

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it must be to see your laptop restart unexpectedly and to have already tried advanced steps like SFC and DISM without success. You’ve done a lot of the right things, and I appreciate the effort you’ve put in.

Let’s go step by step with a structured approach to isolate whether this is hardware or system corruption.

Step 1: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

Since the stop code points to memory management, the first priority is to test the hardware thoroughly.

  1. Shut down your laptop.
  2. Power it on and immediately press F2 repeatedly to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Select System Tests > Extensive Test.
  4. Run both Memory Test and Hard Drive Test.
  5. Note down any error codes if they appear.

Step 2: Repair System Files with a Source Image

Since DISM failed earlier, it’s best to run it with a repair source:

  1. Download the latest Windows ISO using the Media Creation Tool.
  2. Mount the ISO (right-click > Mount).
  3. Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:WIM:X:\Sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess Replace X: with the mounted ISO drive letter.
  4. After DISM completes, run sfc /scannow again.

Step 3: Windows Memory Diagnostic

  1. Press Windows + R, type mdsched.exe, and press Enter.
  2. Choose Restart now and check for problems.
  3. Allow the test to complete and check results in Event Viewer under Windows Logs > System.

Step 4: Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated firmware or drivers can trigger instability.

  1. Visit your product’s support page on HP’s site.
  2. Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and graphics drivers.
  3. Restart and observe system behavior.

Step 5: Fix Windows Spotlight

If Spotlight still doesn’t work after system repairs:

  1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Background and switch to Picture.
  2. Sign out and back in.
  3. Switch back to Windows Spotlight.
  4. If it fails, clear Spotlight cache:
    • Navigate to
      %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState
    • Delete contents, then sign back in.

Step 6: Monitor Event Viewer

After completing the above, check Event Viewer again for recurring critical errors. If they persist, note the exact error IDs and times — this helps pinpoint whether it’s hardware or OS corruption.

You’ve already taken commendable steps with SFC and DISM. Running diagnostics and repairing with a proper source image should give clarity.

Please try these in order and let me know the results of the hardware tests and DISM repair. That will guide us to the next precise step.
