HP Notebook 15t-dy100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Computer froze in the middle of online meeting.

Rebooted it - while rebooting I get this black screen and it ends on

Processing Delta Log Record - 18985 and that's it

boot loopboot loop

Holding Power button for whatever number of seconds does NOT work - (the power button on this one turns the computer on and off regardless of the time you are holding it)

Holding any Esc, F1 to F12 - doesn't work (when I say F1 to F12 - I have tried all of them, I also have tried them with the FN key - crazy right - I am a patient person).

Pressing power button + mute doesn't work

Pressing Windows Start Key +B doesns't work

Talking to HP support was also useless. I had asked them repeatedly what is the way to get to diagnostics, to get to BIOS, what is the way to Hardware reset the laptop - obviously none of the listed bunch of key combinations is working for this one.

If you guys know some new secret combination of keys please help. This will be the second time this laptop goes to a repair shop (which was the suggestion  of the HP person) - but last time they have wiped everything although the problem was the network card. I can't keep doing this. I rather fix it on my own.

Laptop purchased new - November 2019 - still in warranty.

HP Notebook 15t-dy100 CTO - I7

64 Windows 10 (can't get to it to show which build I have)

Will try the USB drive BIOS next.

thanks in advance.

Sorry, but there is no "secret combination" of keys that you can use to run diagnostics.

Pressing the Esc key repeatedly during reboot will for the display of the HP Startup Menu and you can select diagnostics from there.

Pressing F2 in the same way invokes the diagnostics directly.

These are the only way to do it.  If they don't work, you are stuck.

Replacing the drive in a customer PC is standard practice for HP Service.  They don't wipe the original drive -- that would take too long to do; they simply replace it and reimage the PC back to factory settings.
