Hi @VikashMahere

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It’s understandably concerning when your HP Envy x360 13-bf0062TU stops charging and shuts off unexpectedly. These symptoms often point to battery calibration issues, firmware conflicts, or power delivery interruptions.

Let’s walk through a few focused steps to help restore stable charging and prevent auto-shutdowns.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for Charging and Auto-Off Issues

1. Perform a Hardware Reset

  • Shut down the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect the charger and remove any connected peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and power it on.

This clears residual electrical states that may interfere with battery detection.

2. Check Battery Health Using HP Diagnostics

  • Restart the laptop and press Esc, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Select Component Tests > Power > Battery.
  • Run the battery check and note the result.

If the battery status shows “Calibrate” or “Replace,” that may explain the auto-off behavior.

3. Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

These updates improve battery communication and charging logic.

4. Adjust Battery Settings in HP App

  • Open the HP App from the Start menu.
  • Navigate to Power or Battery Health Manager.
  • If “Adaptive Battery Optimizer” or “Battery Care Mode” is enabled, try switching to “Maximize My Battery Health” or “Let HP Manage My Battery Charging.”

These modes can pause charging or limit full charge to extend battery lifespan.

5. Inspect Charging Port and Adapter

  • Gently clean the USB-C or barrel charging port with a soft brush or compressed air.
  • Try a different wall outlet.
  • If available, test with another compatible HP charger to rule out adapter issues.

6. Run Diagnose & Fix Tool

  • Visit: HP Diagnose & Fix
  • Download and run it directly from Windows.
  • This tool checks for power and battery-related issues and applies automatic fixes.

If the issue continues after these steps, it may help to monitor battery percentage and shutdown timing to identify patterns. Let me know what you observe—I’ll guide you further if needed.

You’re doing everything right by staying attentive and proactive. With a few adjustments, your laptop should return to stable performance.
