Laptop Self Locked Out and Blank Screen

I was searching Starbucks secret menu when all of the sudden my laptop locked out and gave me a black screen. I be tried turning it back on but it won't budge.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop with windows 10. I've lad it for a couple years. Yes sometimes it's slow, yesterday it spent an hour updating though, to what I have no idea what happened. It has a full battery. Wasn't connected to anything but Starbucks wifi. Please help. I was applying for jobs since I've just lost mine. I need the laptop so bad.
