You have to turn Notifications ON. Please use following steps
- Right click battery icon and open Power Options,
- Click Change plan settings for current plan,
- Click Change advanced power settings,
- Scroll down to Battery (at the bottom),
Now you can change many options and remember to Apply/Save/OK before get out.

The problem is laptop suddenly shuts down as if it was running on battery and the battery removed. No warning, it just goes off. This usually happens when the battery percentage is below 50%. And it won’t come on until the charger is plugged in and it starts charging from 0%. While charging, at some point the charging indicator turns white and the laptop stops charging but then the battery will not be full. I will have to unplug it and plug it back before it continues charging.
