@Dino_Mazali, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand your HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-ep0000 was working earlier today but now won’t power on at your office. Since you’ve already tried the basic “no boot” troubleshooting steps, let’s go a bit deeper to isolate the issue.

Check for Signs of Power

  • Press the power button and observe:
    • Any LED lights (on the power button, keyboard, or sides)?
    • Any fan noise or screen flicker?
  • If no signs of life, proceed to the next step.

Perform a Hard Reset

This clears residual power and can resolve many startup issues:

  • Disconnect the AC adapter and remove any external devices (USB drives, mouse, etc.).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the AC adapter (no battery if removable) and try powering on.

Try a Different Power Source

  • Use a different wall outlet or power strip.
  • If possible, test with a known working HP AC adapter (same voltage and connector).

Check for Display Issues

Sometimes the laptop powers on but the screen stays black:

  • Shine a flashlight at an angle on the screen to check for faint images.
  • Connect to an external monitor via HDMI to test display output.

BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

If the laptop shows a blinking LED pattern or powers on briefly:

Battery and Adapter Check

Use HP’s diagnostic tool if the laptop powers on intermittently:

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
