Hello, I hope someone can help with my problem.
My HP ENVY - 17m-ae111dx (BANG & OLUFSEN) will not come back on after being off or being asleep for a while. It only works when I take off the back cover, unplug the battery, hold the power button for 15 seconds and plug the battery back on again. However, I have to keep doing it very often. I would like to know something that will solve the problem permanently. Sometimes I have to do it twice or three times a day. Somebody posted in a forum that it maybe the CMOS battery which I have not been able to see when I take the back cover off. Can someone have a solution?

Kumar0307,
I downloaded and installed the HP Support Assistant (for some reason it was not installed) and was able to download and update the BIOS to the newest version, also downloaded a few other updates that were marked with an orange color flag. I also performed the EXTENSIVE TEST under system test and all devices passed. The laptop was restarted after exiting the process and worked well. I turned it off and let it rest for two hours and when I turned it on again it came on well. Later, I turned it off, unplugged the AC adapter and kept if off for 12 hours. I turned it on after the 12 hours rest and it worked well.
Thank you very much for helping me solve the problem.
