I have an HP Laptop which I’ve had since 2015, but hardly used.
A couple of years ago it started to get really slow on loading everything. I updated the Microsoft software the first year, but after that I didn’t use the laptop much so never updated it.
Now I’ve come to use the laptop again I recently downloaded a free basic Microsoft package, this didn’t improve the slowness and became so frustrating, so I closed the laptop down and didn’t bother with it again for a few months, now when I really need to use it to search for new employment, I fired the laptop up only to find that on startup I ended up getting so far with my sign in and then hard to do a hard restore by just switching the power off with the power button, it eventually got to a stage where it showed my desktop icons but now no matter what I try to go into it goes into thinking mode as if it’s going to do what I want but then my arrow just freezes and I end up doing a hard reset again, I have tried using my f keys to reboot together with everything else on Google but the arrow just keeps freezing.
Hope someone can help as I have just bought a Microsoft update which I really need to get installed.
J
