@Fd0467tu, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that your laptop is not charging and won’t power on. Let’s go through a few steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.

Basic Power Reset

  1. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  2. Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge.
  3. Reconnect the battery and AC adapter.
  4. Try turning on the laptop.

If your battery is non-removable, just press and hold the power button for 15 seconds with the charger unplugged, then plug it back in and try powering on.

Check the Power Adapter and Port

  • Ensure the power adapter is firmly connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet.
  • Try a different wall outlet.
  • Inspect the charging port and adapter cable for any visible damage.
  • If available, try using a different compatible HP charger.

Look for Charging Indicators

  • When you plug in the charger, check for:
    • LED lights near the charging port or on the keyboard.
    • Fan noise or screen flicker.
  • If there are no signs of power, the issue might be with the adapter, battery, or motherboard.

Use HP Hardware Diagnostics (if the laptop powers on)

If your laptop powers on after the reset:

  1. Immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  2. Run the Battery Test and AC Adapter Test.

If none of the above steps work and the laptop still doesn’t power on or charge, it may require service. We suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United States | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
