@ab_0812, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The blinking Caps Lock light on your HP laptop indicates a hardware or firmware issue. Based on the symptoms described, here are potential causes and solutions:

Possible Causes
RAM Issues: Improperly seated or faulty RAM is a common cause of Caps Lock blinking with a black screen.

BIOS Corruption: A corrupted BIOS can prevent the system from booting properly.

Graphics Card Failure: A malfunctioning graphics card may result in the display not turning on.

System Board Fault: The motherboard could be failing, causing the blinking light.

Troubleshooting Steps
Identify the Blink Code:

Count the number of blinks or note the pattern (e.g., continuous, or specific sequences like 3 blinks). Each pattern corresponds to a specific issue.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the laptop and disconnect all external devices.
  • Remove the battery (if removable) and unplug the AC adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter and try powering on.

Reseat RAM Modules:

  • Open the laptop's bottom panel and carefully remove the RAM sticks.
  • Reinsert them firmly until they click into place.
  • If you have multiple RAM slots, test each one individually.

Update or Reset BIOS:

  • If possible, access HP support site to download BIOS updates for your model.
  • Alternatively, perform a BIOS reset using HP's diagnostic tools.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Download and install the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool from HP's website.
  • Perform system tests to identify hardware issues.

Check Graphics Card:

If reseating RAM and updating BIOS fail, consider testing or replacing the graphics card, as it may be causing display issues

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
