Hi @Ssarkar_85849,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing issues with the black screen and with a beeping sound. I'd like to help!

A black screen with underscore blinking means there is no Operating System detected on the PC, or the drive the PC is booting from by default is not the one with the OS or boot loader on it.

This issue is often due to a failing drive. So, let's check that first because if it is failing, it would need to be replaced and there is no point then in doing anything else until we confirm that.

To check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu
3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Yes" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping
