I got a critical battery error on device and ordered a new non-genuine HP battery as HP no longer makes parts for my device. After replacing battery the laptop does no complete the boot-up process and keeps restarting after the HP logo screen. I went into start menu and did a component test. Saw a message that calibration was required for the Primary battery and secondary battery is NOT INSTALLED. Did battery calibration 3 times over two days as it takes 2-4 hrs, but still get same message. So I did it again with old battery and without battery ,just the power cord and it is acting in same manner. Starts but doesn’t completely boot-up and restarts every few seconds. Is this due to dead CMOS battery ? Dead motherboard? Is there a solution for this?
