Hi @Aldrep,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP laptop is experiencing some power-related issues. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem.
Check Power Adapter and Battery:
- Ensure that the power adapter is functioning properly and securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
- If your laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then connecting the laptop directly to the power adapter. See if the laptop powers on without the battery.
Reset Power:
- Sometimes, power issues can be resolved by performing a power reset. To do this, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable). Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Then, reconnect the power adapter (without the battery, if applicable) and try turning on the laptop again.
Check RAM and Storage Drive:
- Faulty RAM or a problematic storage drive can sometimes prevent a laptop from booting properly. If you're comfortable, try reseating the RAM modules and the storage drive.
Update BIOS:
- If your laptop manages to turn on sporadically and resets the BIOS, it might indicate a BIOS issue. Check if there's a BIOS update available from HP's official website for your laptop model and follow their instructions to update it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
