OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (755G3AV)

Hi, I have a new HP Omen that worked completely fine till yesterday. Today, it does not start, and if does start by chance it freezes and does nothing. I have force shut it down by pressing the power button. The automatic repair is also not starting. I'm getting various stopcodes. I've run th onboard diagnosis from the bios to find no errors. Is there anything I can do?

Hi @adivansjj

In windows search type CMD, in the result click run as administrator and type (One at a time and then enter)

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

then restart windows and check.

Hi @resistencia,

Thanks for replying!. I'm unable to go beyond the booting screen. It's stuck there or I get a BSOD.

If you cannot enter windows then you should reinstall windows again.

I loaded a UEFI version of Windows 11 onto a USB stick and attempted to boot from the BIOS. However, the system froze and didn't progress for hours. I had to force shut it down and try the process again, hoping for a different outcome.

I think it should be a clean install , when you start the install from the USB and it shows the partitions erase all partitions and then install on disk C :

You can also try to enter Safe mode.

Yeah, starting in the safe mode using the link you shared worked. But, I'm stuck in the safe mode. I can't use the system to it's full extent. I'm also unable to revert back to previous recovery points.

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

I ran all these. But the system said there's no issue. But, with the next instruction:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I got an output saying

'The source files could not be found.

Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more info....'

Is there a way to share these sytem logs or something to see what went wrong?

Also, I'm thinking of factory reseting the system. Do you reckon that could help?

I think you should reinstall windows from scratch, there are files that are corrupted, that's why the system image doesn't load.

Thanks, I couldn't figure it out or install new windows. Nonetheless, I was able to go into windows through 'safe open'. I couldn't re-install windows, the diagnosis showed nothing wrong either. I've sent it to the repair center. They'll hopefully fix it.
