After a full day of usage, my laptop gave me the low battery message and ultimately turned itself off. But it won't recharge or turn on after I plug it in. No lights, no nothing. Have tested the charger and leads with my cell phone, power is fine - just can't get the power into the laptop. I've had this laptop for about 4 yrs. It's one that can turn into a tablet if you fold the lid back on itself. Can anyone help? Thanks

Some model HP laptops simply will no longer start if the battery dies, even with a charger connected. I have one of those and had this happen and the only way I got it working again was to buy a new battery, put it into the iaptop, start it, replace the old battery and let that charge for a few hours.
