OMEN by HP - 15-ce008nw

At very random times my Laptop refuses to boot to a BootLoader nor into the UEFI. Here is the list of what i tried so far:

-Removed the swolen battery

-Reseated the RAM

And these 2 didnt work. Only the reseating the ram made me loose my mind because it threw 3 long capslock flashes and 2 long ones.

Hi @MatispokoYT

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your OMEN by HP 15  randomly stops booting and sometimes does not even enter the UEFI/BIOS. I also noticed that you have already removed the swollen battery and reseated the RAM.

To help narrow this down, kindly confirm:

  • Does the power light or fan come on when the issue occurs?
  • Do you hear any beeps or see a repeating Caps Lock/Num Lock blink pattern?
  • Does the laptop eventually boot after several attempts or after being left powered off?
  • Is the original HP AC adapter being used?

Also since the battery was swollen, kindly avoid reinstalling or using that battery. If the issue continues while running from the AC adapter with a known-good RAM configuration, I recommend having the notebook inspected by HP support or an authorized service center.

Kindly try these steps and confirm :

  1. Disconnect the AC adapter and all USB/external devices.
  2. With the battery disconnected, hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
  3. Connect only the AC adapter and try powering on the notebook.
  4. Try accessing the HP Startup Menu by repeatedly pressing Esc immediately after powering on, then F10 for BIOS Setup or F2 for HP Hardware Diagnostics.
  5. If you have two RAM modules, test with one module at a time, using the original memory configuration where possible.

You can also follow this HP Community troubleshooting guide: Fix HP Laptop No Boot Issues - Step-by-Step Guide

Since the notebook sometimes cannot reach the bootloader or UEFI, the behaviour happens before Windows loads. This points toward the system's startup hardware/firmware initialization rather than Windows itself. The Caps Lock blink sequence can also provide useful diagnostic information, so kindly note the exact number of long and short flashes and whether the pattern repeats.

I hope this helps.

It will boot when i wait out when off also it shows every sign of light but the UEFI Firmware. I fixed the ram issue long time ago. When i boot after stressing it, it doesnt boot but i hear the fans, the power light is up the caps lock key is off and all the proper lights that can be found on this device infact are lit but the caps key and the storage indicator. And it might not be able to send cause the warranty is out and i have monetary constraints. I cant access the device cause i am outta the house for this time being so i am pulling out every slither of intel i have about the device
