My laptop has been shutting down when it reached low battery and does not give a warning. This has been happening off late and wasnt there when I first purchased the laptop.
I had installed some software from WD for my harddisk and I used to get a warning just before the laptop shuts down. I then uninstalled the software and I dont get any warning now but the laptop shuts down on low battery inless its plugged in.
Please help.

Please change Battery options using the following steps
- Right click battery icon (bottom right corner) and select Power options,
- Select Change plan settings,
- Select Change advanced power settings,
- Scroll down to Battery (bottom) and expand,
- Expand and change ALL options as you like,
- Click OK to get out.
Regards.

I don't think you have understood the problem.
I used to get low battery notifications before I installed the WD software, now even though the settings for 'Low Battery Notification" is turened on, the laptop hibernates when on battery without any warning of low battery.
