I recently updated my laptop and after installing the update, the laptop started restarting as usual. However, ever since the laptop is stuck in a restart loop. It shows the HP logo and then restarting icon. After this the laptop shuts down and the same repeats.

I see that you are facing issues with your HP Laptop PC 14-D2000 (2D127AV) wherein it keeps restarting.
I suggest that you run an extensive system test by following the steps listed below:
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
3. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
4. From the main menu, click System Test and then click on Extensive Test.
5. Click Run once.
