I accidentally activated Glary Boot Defrag on startup, which got to 100% and froze on the "exiting..." screen for quite a while. I did a hard reboot and my laptop did not start normally. It has a screen saying "loading windows files", which proceeds into a startup repair loading screen, which says it's attempting repairs and then says it cannot repair the problem. My laptop then goes into the HP Recovery Manager and from this point I can't get any further. It will not restore from a restore point and I do not wish to factory reset my laptop and lose my files. The file backup program also fails so I'm not able to backup my files. Running the check disk on the windows drive, it says there are errors on the $130 index. I have recovery cds from when I bought the laptop but I don't believe they're for the Windows 7 OS, which I think are the files that are corrupted. How can I fix this problem of a boot loop?
