Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My laptop came with Windows 7 and several years ago I did the update for Windows 10 (bad idea) it total messed up my lap top so I reinstalled Windows 7 and it has worked fine till the other day. When it is turned on the windows logo comes on and that is it.  I have ran all the test in the Menu from hitting Esc on start up.  Everything passed.  All the test I have ran have passed, I even tried to go back to a start date that worked and still nothing.  If I start it in Safe mode or with prompt it loads windows files up to :  Windows\system32\DRIVERS\atipcie 64.gys  Bottom of the screen says Please Wait... Nothing happens.   Not sure what to do now.... Please help

@klw32163

Need to know, in detail, HOW you reinstalled Win7.

Asking because the Win10 Upgrade is known to corrupt the HP Recovery information in the process, and even though you can (sometimes) do an in-place RollBack to Win7, when you're back in Win7, you will find that some stuff no longer works.

This is really BAD news -- because HP no longer carries Recovery Media for Win7-era PCs.

I have the backup disc that I mad when I first got the laptop, but I used an installation disk. Everything comes back as passed on all the test. It was working and the next day when I turned it on it was stuck at the start up screen.  It was giving an error message for the battery.  I have another battery in it and now it has no errors.  Would it be or could it be the bios battery?   Battery test failed: Primary - Replace (30) failure ID: pgfnow-000a12-mfkr4k-coa803 .

I really do not like windows 10 at all.  I may have to just go with Ubuntu or Lenox.  I have one computer with Ubuntu on it, it is just hard to learn.  But they don't do like Windows... It makes me so mad some people can not afford to upgrade their system or buy a new computer.  Now Google has jumped on the ban wagon with Microsoft and that is what I have everything saved in.  My desk top has vista and I have to use another browser to go to a lot of web sites... It is just sad... Guess I just don't do good with change.

Thank you
