HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab106la (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop takes up to 15 minutes to boot up. After powering on, HP logo appears and there is a spinning circle on the bottom of the screen. Then after that much time, windows login screen shows up and after logging in, computer works just fine and fast. No application issues or blue screens.
I tried disabling all applications and services in windows thinking it could be related to a software problem when starting. But the issue persists.
All drivers are up to date and tuning and clean up processes were followed in order to optimize the disk.

Hi @Ub6424,

I did follow your recommendation and installed BIOS update. It ran successfully and restarted. However, it took 25 minutes to get to the logging screen instead of the 15 minutes that took the previous time.

I checked msinfo32 and it is showing the BIOS version date as F.54 27/5/2019 (dd/mm/yyyy format).

Thanks in advance for any additional help.

Hello @RandyJG

The Windows file system could be corrupt or there is a hard disk error or undefined sofware or technical error.

HI, I installed both applications HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows and UEFI. However, under application System Tests only Fast Test is available. No extensive option. Below are the results:

For UEFI app, I installed and it looks that completes but don't aee an option to execute.

Am I doing something wrong ?
