Laptop Model: 15-cs0064st
I accidentally deleted Windows RE Tools partition from internal 1TB SATA HDD and caused the windows 10 was not able to boot up. Also the HP Recovery Manager was disappeared.
I tried to use F11 key to do recovery, but laptop showed “Your PC couldn’t start properly, A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed. Error code: 0x0000255”.
Then I tried to boot up from HP Recovery Media USB driver which I ordered couple of weeks ago from HP to recover my laptop. But the screen showed HP logo and small turning circle on bottom for a while, then the small circle was frozen. I waited for three hours, the small circle still was frozen (not turning any more) and laptop still locked up.
How do I fix this problem so that I can use HP Recovery Media USB driver to recover my laptop?
Thank you very much!

Hi:
If the HP recovery USB isn't working, see if you can clean install W10 as follows...
You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...
- Select Download tool now, and select Run.
- If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
- On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.
- Select which media you want to use:
- USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

Thank you very much for very quick reply.
Last night I tried to use Windows 10 installation disk to install Windows 10 on my laotop after HP Recovery Media USB driver failed to use. During Windows 10 installation, the internal RAID ATT HDD was not able to be seen. I think that I need to install some RAID driver during Windows 10 installation. Which windows drivers need to be installed to recognaze this RAID ATT HDD? Where to download them and how to install them during Windows 10 installation? Do I need to install chipset driver as well? How to setup BIOS before WIndows 10 installation?
Thank you very much!

You're very welcome.
Looking at the product specs for your model below, it comes with a standard hard drive, and W10 should just install on it.
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c06030458
But if you think that the notebook needs the storage controller drivers, I have zipped them up and attached them below.
Copy the file contents of the unzipped driver folder to a USB flash drive.
With the flash drive and the W10 installation media in the PC, boot from the W10 installation media.
When you get to the screen pictured below, select the Load Driver option (bottom left corner of the picture, and if you check the box, it should only include the compatible driver.
