HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0035nr
Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop has mysteriously stopped booting today and after taking it apart to test what components might be stopping the boot process, I had found that while the hard drive I had in it was plugged in, it wouldn't boot.

The laptop didn't originally come with a hard drive but it has never had this issue before.

It powers on and show fan activity. It also provides power to the hard drive and it spins up as well, but will not boot into anything unless the hard drive is out of the system.

Following up on this post now, it is now less of a no boot, and more of a very, very slow boot. It stuck on the preboot black screen for about 15-20 minutes before finally popping up the HP Logo, and then took another 15-20 to properly get me into the login screen. Still sort of an issue since I wish to prevent this now, but have no idea what is causing it.
