HP EliteBook 840 G5 Notebook PC

Last night, when I tried to shut down my laptop, it wanted me to update and shut down. There was no shut down without update button. I clicked shut down and it started updating the BIOS. Once it was done, it got into a loop. The screen is fully black, the fan is not spinning, caps lock light seems to be blinking, the LED next to the charging port is blinking yellow and white. The power button does nothing. The only response I've gotten from the computer is when I held down the power button for about 15 seconds. When I did, everything stopped and when I let go, it started happening again. It has been over 10 hours since this has been going on. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CMOS battery, uninstalled the battery and reinstalled it but the result was the same. This has happened once before (about 6 months ago) and the computer turned on after a few hours. But the laptop wont turn on this time. What do I do?
