Hi, After the bios update, my hp 15-bs109np stoped booting. I did a pen with the current copy of it, but it doesn't seem to work and boot. How can I recover with that copy? Is there any HP tool for that?
My laptop when I power it on, it doesn't actually boots, it starts - we can hear the fan - but no screen logo or boot process.
If anyone can help me please I do need this computer to work, for my school. Thanks

@DGarciatav71, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Recovering a Laptop that Won't Boot After BIOS Update!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP laptop has stopped booting after a BIOS update, you can try the following steps to recover it using a USB recovery drive:

Prepare a USB Recovery Drive:

  • Make sure your USB drive is at least 1 GB.
  • Download the latest BIOS update file for your laptop from the HP Drivers & Software page.
  • Copy the BIOS update file to the USB drive.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect all peripheral devices from the laptop.
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.

Boot from USB Recovery Drive:

  • Connect the USB recovery drive to your laptop.
  • If the laptop is not displaying the HP logo or initiating boot processes, use the BIOS recovery feature:
    • Turn off your laptop.
    • Press and hold the Windows + B keys simultaneously, and then press the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
    • Release the power button while still holding the Windows + B keys.
    • The BIOS recovery process should start, indicated by a screen or beeping sound.

Use HP BIOS Update Utility:

  • During the recovery process, follow the on-screen instructions to restore the BIOS.

No that didn't do nothing at all. It that all we can try?

Another thing that I found out was that without my permission my harddisk was encrypt with bitlocker and now I can't even use the harddisk on some other computer. For sure it won't be HP. BYE
