Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.  Our office found a model 15da0033wm laptop.  It boots, but runs particularly slowly w/ only 4 gigs of ram.  I refreshed Win10 and ordered some memory.  (Full Disclosure:  I've been using microcomputers since the days of CP/M and have a degree in MIS, so I'm not a neophyte.)  Having cracked the case and swapped the memory sticks, the computer won't come back to life.  When I plug in the power the LED comes on, so it's getting electricity.  But when I press the power button, the LED goes out, and nothing else happens.  I've tried pulling the battery and resetting everything, the problem persists.  Thanks in advance for any help.
