Pavilion x360 m1 Convertible

Hello,

When I go to turn on my laptop the power button lights up and the caps lock starts to blink 3 long blinks then 5 faster blinks.  The screen is black.

@Mica1

It doesn't sound good. As you can see from the chart here, the blink pattern indicates CPU or systemboard failure.I would try the hard reset/power reset mentioned at the beginning of the document:

Same thing happens on my Pvillion x360 M1 today (black screen with 3.5 caps lock blinking). What seems to fix mine is when I unplugged all the cables from the motherboard including CMOS battery connection, wait about 2 mins, put everything back in and reboot. First time it reboots, I got BIOS checksum error message but then the laptop correct itself and restart again without any issue afterwards.
