attery went down to nothing and now wont turn on at all. Can charge it for hours or days. charging light just blinks when power button is pressed. only other anything is caps lock light comes on.
Tried to hold power button down for hard reset.
Is the battery no good and need replacing?

If the battery is dead and the PC won't start, you won't be able to run any diagnostics to check out the problem.
You will first, have to replace the battery -- and only then will you be able to run diagnostics.
