Long Time to Boot
04-27-2021 04:29 PM

HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y0AV)
Takes a long time to boot. I get a blank, gray/black screen for over 60 seconds, then this for over 60 seconds.
After a while, it starts up and shows my desktop.
I keep OS up to date and ran the HP hardware and OS diagnostics, everything passed.
Ideas?

I don't know why your laptop takes so long. I have an older HP laptop with an SSD, one slower than yours, and it takes around 30 seconds from power-on to desktop. Since your laptop is newer, I would expect it to take less.
'My suggestion is to use the information below to configure your laptop to boot to safe mode to see if that is any faster. If it IS, then one or more things you are loading at startup is holding up the boot:

Mine used to and it has 2 SSD. The OS is in the original 256 GB M.2 drive, plus I added a 1TB Western Digital Blue drive.
It was working fine like this until yesterday.
