Hi,
I just got a new Omen and the adapter that came in the box shows me an error message saying low power power source detected and it does not charge the laptop when turned on. However, the laptop charges when switchted off. Any possible solutions for this problem?
I have updated to the most recent bios and chipset drivers.

@rohanafsan Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are getting a Low-power power source detected message.
Have you tried with a different adapter and checked?
Please perform the adapter test and let us know.
1. Power off the PC and make sure that it is completely powered off.
2. Press the power button and the moment you press the power button immediately start tapping F2 key, you should see the system diagnostics screen.
3. Look for the component test, under that all the hardware will be listed, please choose Adapter and initiate the quick test.
Note: If it fails it will generate a 24 digits alphanumeric failure id, please capture that.
Keep us posted,

Hi, so I ran the diagnostics test as you asked and these are the messages I got. I am not sure what is wrong. Please help.
For the adapter test it says:
The smart adapter power rating is too small for the system. System is running from battery power.
The Failure ID shows; N/A
The Result is: Warning

I understand your concerns.
In that case, try with different wall outlets and check.
Try with a different adapter and check.
Have a nice day!!
