Hi @Dadapeer,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with charging your device. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the "low power source detected" error:

Verify Charger Specifications: Ensure that the charging adapter you're using meets the required specifications for your device. Sometimes, even if the multimeter shows normal voltage, the current output might not be sufficient. Check the wattage and amperage ratings.

Inspect the Charging Cable: A faulty or damaged charging cable can cause similar issues. Try using a different cable that you know works well with your device.

Check the Charging Port: Inspect the charging port on your device for any debris, damage, or loose connections. Sometimes, a clean and secure connection can resolve charging issues.

Update BIOS/Firmware: Ensure your device’s BIOS and firmware are up to date. Sometimes, updates include fixes for power management and charging issues.

Run Hardware Diagnostics: Use the built-in hardware diagnostics tool provided by your device . Since you've mentioned the HP Community component test, try running the diagnostics tool from within the BIOS or use HP Support Assistant if it's installed.

Battery Health Check: The issue might be related to the battery itself. If possible, check the battery health using built-in diagnostics or third-party software. Sometimes, an old or faulty battery can cause charging problems.

Reset Power Management Settings: Sometimes resetting the power management settings can resolve charging issues. For laptops, this might involve resetting the power plan or performing a hard reset (power off the device, remove the battery if possible, and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds).

Test with a Known Good Adapter: If you have access to another adapter that is known to work with your device, try using it to see if the problem persists. This helps confirm whether the issue is with the adapter or the device.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
