I'm planning to move my OS from HDD to my M.2 Sata SSD. Can I boot from M.2 SSD ?
I see some posts that the laptop may detect the m.2 but it will only see it as additional storage but not a Bootable Drive.
My laptop is HP Probook 440 G4

@Reyreygoaway:
You can probably boot from an M.2 SSD if it correctly appears in the UEFI boot order in Boot Options in F10 BIOS.
My EliteBook 840 G3 came with an M.2 SSD preloaded with an empty 2.5" hdd bay. I had an old hdd laying around, so I put it in and clean-installed W10 on it. After that the laptop always booted from the hdd so I went to F10 to move the M.2 drive entry to the top of the UEFI boot order. Now the laptop starts from the M.2 drive again. The hdd is a backup drive and I can still boot from it by clicking on the hdd entry in F9 Boot Menu Order.
Your laptop and mine seem to have the same business laptop BIOS so I think you can probably do the same thing.
